The role

The FP&A Analyst is part of Azurium's Vietnam analytical team, supporting US-based client engagements with forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, and management reporting. This is a non-client-facing role: you work async with the US team, and the US team owns the client relationship. Your fingerprints are on every analysis that goes out the door, even though your name is not on the deliverable.

This is the seat for someone who wants exposure to US founder-led companies and institutional-grade finance methodology, working in a focused execution role without the demands of client interface.

Why this role exists

Azurium's analytical workload requires consistent execution across time zones. The Vietnam FP&A team owns the recurring analytical engine — monthly close-to-review cycle, rolling forecasts, KPI dashboards — that powers the firm's client work. US team members own client interface and judgment calls; the Vietnam team owns the rigor of the analysis underneath.

What you will do

  • Build and maintain rolling forecasts, annual budgets, and scenario models for US-based client engagements.
  • Produce monthly variance analysis: actuals vs. budget, vs. prior period, vs. forecast — with driver-level commentary in the Azurium house style.
  • Develop and maintain KPI dashboards in tools such as Excel, Google Sheets, Fathom, Jirav, or Power BI. Make the numbers tell the story.
  • Support the monthly review cycle: prepare draft analysis, draft commentary, and pre-read materials for the US-based Finance Manager.
  • Translate raw client data — QuickBooks exports, trial balances, operational reports — into clean, structured inputs for analysis.

What we are looking for

  • 2–5 years of experience in FP&A, management reporting, audit, or financial analysis at a multinational, Big 4, or growth-stage company.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a quantitative field. ACCA, CFA, or CPA progress strongly preferred.
  • Excellent Excel and modeling skills. Comfort with SQL, Python, or Power BI is a plus, not a requirement.
  • Strong written English. You will write commentary and analysis that, after light editing by the US team, goes in front of US founders and boards. Spoken English is not required for this role — internal communication with the US team is primarily written.
  • Self-directed and async-comfortable. Most of your week is independent execution; check-ins with the US team are scheduled, not constant.

Compensation

Competitive compensation at the top of the Vietnamese market for the role, calibrated to experience. Benefits include private health coverage, paid professional certification support (ACCA, CFA, CPA), and an annual learning budget.
