Financial Analyst
Location: United States (remote, US-based required)Type: Full-time
The role
The Financial Analyst is the analytical engine of Azurium's client work. You build the models, run the analyses, and produce the materials that go in front of founders and boards — under the supervision of a Finance Manager and the firm's senior leadership.
This is a high-leverage seat for someone 2–4 years into their career who wants to develop into a future CFO. You will see more business problems in a year here than most analysts see in five.
What you will do
- Build and maintain three-statement financial models, scenario forecasts, and operating budgets for 4–6 client engagements.
- Produce monthly review packages: variance analysis, KPI scorecards, driver-level commentary, and the supporting visuals.
- Conduct ad-hoc analysis on pricing, unit economics, customer cohorts, channel profitability, and capital allocation decisions.
- Support fundraising and transaction work: data room preparation, investor model build, due diligence response.
- Draft board materials and client memos in the Azurium voice — conclusion-first, quantified, ranked drivers, named trade-offs.
What we are looking for
- 2–4 years of experience in investment banking, management consulting, corporate FP&A, or a high-rigor analytical role. Top-tier internships count.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting, or a quantitative field. CFA Level I+ a plus.
- Excellent Excel and financial modeling skills. You should be able to build a clean, auditable model without templates.
- Strong written communication. You can summarize a $5M decision in three paragraphs without losing the trade-off.
- Curiosity about how businesses actually work. The best analysts we have hired could explain a client's business model better than the founder by month three.
Compensation
Competitive base salary plus performance bonus. Benefits include health coverage, retirement contribution, and a meaningful annual professional development budget. Specific range disclosed in first conversation; calibrated to experience and location.
